RoboLector reference lab set up

Automated fermentation at Trier University of Applied Sciences, Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.

The RoboLector platform has been successfully installed.

Professor Percy Kampeis 1) of the Institute for Biotechnical Process Design (IBioPD) will use the system for several fermentative applications. As a proof of concept, he will first down scale existing processes and then start with design of experiments (DoE) optimized screenings to improve process conditions. “The RoboLector enables us to optimize fermentation media fast and cost-effective," he stated. "The combination of media preparation and parallel fermentations in microtiter plates is a useful tool in the development of new biotechnical processes.”In future, this institute will act as a reference lab for RoboLector solutions.
