Short-chain fluorescent tryptophan tags for on-line detection of functional recombinant proteins.
Development of five novel fluorescent tags based on clustered tryptophan residues, called W-tags. During cultivation in microtiter plates, the tryptophan fluorescence intensity was measured on-line for monitoring product formation.
