As one of the world´s leading manufacturers of microbioreactors for the life science market, m2p-labs GmbH has been certified according to the international standard DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 following the introduction of its new environmental management system. m2p-labs thus is now among a growing number of companies whose environmental management systems are regularly supervised by accredited certification authorities.
The certification by ICG Zertifizierung GmbH testifies to m2p-labs the establishment of a system with processes and workflows that guarantee more efficient use of resources and energy. This required an analysis of the current waste production and energy consumption in advance in order to determine future measures for monitoring and reducing their environmental impact.
“With the introduction of a certified environmental management system, we commit ourselves not only to reduce our energy costs but also to contribute to climate and environmental protection in the Aachen region. In addition, we also note that customers increasingly prefer to buy from suppliers with environmental certification,” explains Daniel Ritter, Environmental Management Representative at m2p-labs.
