Upgrade components for the microbioreactor

The BioLector measures biomass, pH, DO, and fluorescences online while running a cultivation. The system controls the shaking speed, the temperature inside the cultivation chamber, and the humidity.

If required, the system can easily be upgraded with additional modules. Then the system will be equipped with the selected components while still retaining all of its features. The combination of multiple modules is possible.

Anaerobic Cultivation

Strict anaerobic fermentation combined with a small, controlled nitrogen gas flow rate.

O2 Up-regulation

With the O2 up-regulation module the microbioreactor continuously measures the oxygen level inside the chamber and automatically regulates the flow of oxygen into the chamber.

O2 Down-regulation

With the O2 down-regulation module the microbioreactor continuously measures the oxygen level inside the chamber and automatically regulates the flow of nitrogen into the chamber.

CO2 Up-regulation

With the CO2 up-regulation module the micobioreactor continuously measures the CO2 level inside the chamber and automatically regulates the flow of CO2 into the chamber.

LED / Filter

With the LED / filter module, the microbioreactor can measure additional fluorescences. An LED unit and two optical filter glasses are installed inside the BioLector.
