Bioprocess control in Microscale: Scalable fermentations in disposable and user-friendly microfluidic systems
A novel microfermentation system , the so-called 'microfluidic BioLector', has been presented. Microfluidic chips were coupled to MTPs to realize pH-controlled batch as well as fed-batch fermentations.

Flavin Mononucleotide-Based Fluorescent Reporter Proteins Outperform Green Fluorescent Protein-Like Proteins as Quantitative In Vivo Real-Time Reporters
The fluorescence signal intensity of GFP-like proteins is affected under oxygen limitation and therefore does not reflect the amount of reporter protein in Escherichia coli batch cultures.

Replication methods and tools in highthroughput cultivation processes – recognizing potential variations of growth and product formation by on-line monitoring
The effects of replication methods and tools on growth kinetics of E.coli SCS1 pQE-30 pSE111 were observed and the influence on product formation was investigated. The Growth was monitored with the BioLector.

High-throughput screening of Hansenula polymorpha clones in the batch compared with the controlled-release fed-batch mode on a small scale
To show differences in ranking during strain selection depending on the operational mode, screenings were performed in batch and fed-batch modes. Two populations of Hansenula polymorpha were applied.
